BIRD WATCHING TRIP TO BASAI WETLANDS, GURGAON WITH KANWAR B SINGH, THE BIRD MAN OF DELHI
Overshadowed by the nearby Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary, which takes the lion's share of the birdwatchers and general tourists, Basai is frequented only by hardcore birding enthusiasts and nature lovers. TCBG decided to increase awareness about this beautiful habitat, under the expert guidance of one of Delhi’s most respected bird watchers, Kanwar B Singh. The group of travel writers and bloggers, none of whom were avid birdwatchers, were thrilled by the spectacular environs and the knowledge that KB Singh shared about the birds that live so close to us and yet go unnoticed.
Spend the day in the company of migratory birds
Out of 1,400 species of birds found in India, almost 400 species can be easily spotted in the Capital's vast marshlands, grasslands and forested areas. These beautiful winged creatures have fuelled Kanwar B Singh's passion ever since he was a student at Naval College of Engineering, Lonavala.

It's indeed a great initiative. Our close knit community of travellers is one of its kind in Delhi. What makes these trips exceptional is that travellers get access to experts. For travellers it becomes difficult to find the right person to enlighten on the subject. Thanks both of you for organising such meaningful trips.
